Gi Jacket Ties

If you want to add ties to your jacket to keep it closed, simple ties can be made from twill tape, ribbon, extra fabric, or similar materials. Just cut a pair of ties to your desired length, then sew one tie to the right side of the jacket opening and the other to the inside of the left side seam!

Adding Kanji Characters to Your Belt​

We provide two sets of kanji characters for your convenience: one set is marked on the belt pattern so you know exactly where to place it, and the same set of characters appears separately on the pattern paper. We recommend practicing on scrap fabric with one of the templates first, so you can find the best application method for your style.

There are many ways to add the kanji characters to your belt, and you can use the template on your pattern paper to cut out, trace, or copy however you like. For a bright, bold, and fabric-safe look, we recommend fabric paint. Here are some other application methods — choose the one that best suits your vision! Your cosplay, your rules! 

Fabric Paint: Place the stencil on the fabric, then dab fabric paint over it with a foam sponge for a bold, even color. For a more precise application, use a fine-tip brush to trace the outlines.
Iron-On Transfer: Trace the stencil onto transfer paper, then iron it onto the fabric for a smooth, lasting design.
Heat Transfer Vinyl: Cut the stencil from vinyl, then press it onto the fabric with a heat press or iron for a professional look.
